How to do it
- Hold the handles of the jump rope with your hands, palms facing inward.
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent.
- Swing the rope over your head and jump over it as it comes towards your feet.
- Land softly on the balls of your feet and repeat the jump as the rope comes around again.
- Continue jumping for the desired duration or number of repetitions.

Sets and reps
Technique: 3 sets of 3 reps
Use a moderate distance, reset fully, and make every landing quiet and balanced.
Power: 3-5 sets of 3-5 reps
Rest 2-3 minutes and stop the set when jump distance or landing quality drops.
Conditioning: 2-4 sets of 5 reps
Keep each repetition controlled; do not turn fatigue into rushed landings.
Common mistakes
- Letting the landing collapse. Finish each Jump Rope rep with both feet stable and your hips and knees absorbing the impact.
- Starting the next jump before your balance returns. Reset your stance so every takeoff is deliberate.
- Chasing distance after takeoff or landing mechanics deteriorate. End the set while each repetition is still explosive and controlled.
