Editorial policy
Published and last updated July 31, 2026
Buffro publishes practical fitness education and transparent product information. This policy explains how we separate useful evidence from confident-sounding claims and how readers can check our work.
Research and sourcing
For claims about training outcomes, we prefer systematic reviews, meta-analyses, controlled trials, and established professional guidance. Priority articles link directly to their sources. We summarize findings in plain language and preserve uncertainty when studies do not establish one universal optimum.
Exercise and calculator quality
Exercise pages are checked for a matching name, equipment, muscles, unique instructions, and obvious form problems before they are approved for search. Approval for search is separate from eligibility for a Buffro strength rank: some valid movements cannot be scored honestly from load or repetition count.
Calculators expose their assumptions and are educational estimates. They are not diagnoses, prescriptions, or substitutes for advice from a qualified professional who knows the individual.
Authorship and review
Guides display their authoring team, publication date, and material update date. We do not invent credentials or imply medical review. If a qualified individual reviews a future page, that person, relevant qualification, and review date will be shown explicitly.
Product comparisons and conflicts
Buffro publishes its own comparison pages, so it is not an independent reviewer. Pages must say that plainly, credit genuine competitor strengths, link to official sources, date their fact checks, and avoid claims that could not be verified. Pages without enough evidence are kept out of search until they meet that standard.
Updates and corrections
A material change to evidence, recommendations, product facts, or methodology receives a new modified date. Styling-only changes do not. If you find an error, email support@buffro.app with the page URL and supporting source.
Stop an exercise that causes sharp or unusual pain. Seek qualified care for an injury, health condition, or symptoms that make training unsafe.
