How to do Hand Gripper — animated demonstration

How to do it

  1. Hold the hand gripper in one hand with one handle against your palm and the other against your fingers.
  2. Keep your wrist neutral and your forearm still.
  3. Squeeze the handles together under control until they close or nearly close.
  4. Pause briefly at the tightest point.
  5. Slowly release the handles until your hand opens without letting the gripper snap back.
  6. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch hands.
